When I think about an alpha
female the following words come to mind: Strong, independent, confident, bold,
and courageous. These days, many women may find themselves in the alpha female
category. I can resonate with being this kind of woman, because, I am one. I know
a number of other women who are as well. Now more than ever, being an alpha
female is something that is celebrated thanks to more and more women shattering
glass ceilings, and taking on more non-traditional routes and roles in life. Because
of this, I believe there are often misconceptions about being this kind of
woman that I want to clear up. Keep in mind, this is only from my experience
and perspective, but if this helps other women in similar situations, I’m glad
to speak up.
As an alpha female, I’m not some
career obsessed, I don’t want/need a man
in my life, and having a baby will
ruin my life and plans, person.
I’m definitely not that person.
Healthy relationships seem great, and kids are cool too (especially when you
can send them back home with their parents) However, I’m in no rush to settle
down or have kids. Why rush things? I’m on no one else’s timeline. For now, I’m
excited to have a life of my own and enjoy it to the fullest. And I see nothing
wrong with that.
